I connect to a Netgear WGR614v9 router with NAT filtering set to open.
After my router I have a satellite modem (Wildblue ISP).
I did find some info in my routers log which indicated that something
incoming was attempting an 'IP spoof' DOS attack. I'll do a little more
testing to see if I can pin
could you describe your network configuration? do you use some ip
translation?

I have previously been successful using auto-accept dcc using
Konversation under Kubuntu 8.04. Would any of that package info be
useful?

thank you for your bug report. does it work using other softwares? is
there a gateway or some sort of firewall between you and internet? dcc
doesn't work on some configurations but that's not an xchat issue rather
a protocole one
