Can you give it a try to reproduce the bug with the intrepid version and
the swedish layout? the gnome-terminal package in intrepid has been
highly modified by upstream, thanks in advance.

Same problem on a newly created user.
Seems have something to do with my Swedish keyboard, which I normally use
with a U.S. keyboard layout.
I've narrowed down the problem down to a call to
vte_translate_national_ctrlkeys() from vte_terminal_key_press(). This
function was added to solve Gnome bug
Thanks for your report, that works fine for me, with a test file I'm
getting a cute "E433: No tags file" which is ok because i don't have
that tag, but the shortcut it's working. Can you test the same with
another user? Maybe there's something broken on your configuration,
