You have been subscribed to a public bug: Under both vanilla Ubuntu 22.04.x and 24.04.1 running Wayland with native GNOME session, the mouse cursor is captured in a distorted way when capturing the screen with some applications, for example with OBS or when screen sharing under Firefox. This happens both, when sharing an entire screen and also when sharing a single window only.
The desktop is set up with 125% fractional scaling due to the display's high resolution. Both applications given as examples above are installed as snap packages. When I do a screen video recording via GNOME's built-in screenshot tool, the mouse cursor is shown correctly. GNOME version is 46 under Ubuntu 24.04. ** Affects: mutter (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: cursor noble -- Mouse cursor distorted in screen captures https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2078460 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
