Still same problem on my Ubuntu 24-04 Noble
corrado@corrado-n12-noble:~$ gio mime application/zip
Default application for “application/zip”: org.gnome.Nautilus.desktop

Recommended applications:
On my Ubuntu 24.10 Oracular

Unsure why but I don't see the issue anymore on my installation...
