I switched to wayland about a month ago due to monitor connectivity
issues and Gnome, and I've noticed no issues so far. Everything runs
smoother than with x11 and I can also play video games no problem. I'm
still running the nvidia 550 driver for linux. Also all apps respect the
system theme now.

Upgraded to 24.04.1 and switched to the nvidia 550 driver and it still
very much remains an issue. Almost all Gnome apps and the Snap Store
don't comply with the dark theme. I've also mentioned in another bug
report that the 'Set as Background...' option for pictures doesn't work
at all on nautilus

If several applications have the issue then nautilus is probably the
wrong component to report against.
How do you enable the dark mode? Do you have applications which behave
correctly and update according to the change? And is there any chan
