I cannot reproduce with ssh. The process that is getting bigger and
bigger is nautilus.

Are you using Ubuntu Hardy Heron (the testing version)? There's a
similar bug there, bug #196991
Could you try to reproduce this with a SMB, SSH or FTP server? You can
use the System Monitor tool, in the System->Administration menu, to see
how much memory all proces
