I had the same issue with the player "parole", on Xubuntu, after
upgrading from 20.04 LTS to 22.04.1 today.
I got the same error messages from GStreamer, so the cause is likely not
the player "totem", but GStreamer.
I managed to fix the issue by uninstalling the package
gstreamer1.0-vaapi
If the
[Expired for totem (Ubuntu) because there has been no activity for 60
days.]

I can't tell which crash that is because there is no stack trace. But I
