1845801.

I decided to go upstream and replace 19.10 by 20.04. I also slected 3rd
party options to exclude the NVIDIA driver during install. I currently
have no issues but know now how to report a bug when it appears. I may
have a problem due to gdm "or" NVIDIA.

It's probably simpler to just open a new bug with all the information
automatically attached from the affected machine:
ubuntu-bug gdm3
Then we can track the issue in that new bug instead of here.
