Fractional Scaling: 175%
Display: 4k Asus MG28UQ
Also, I can "workaround" it by moving the cursor to the bottom right, so it
will be hidden there.
But then on Pressing F11 (for fullscreen in Firefox / Youtube) the auto hidden

My workaround for removing the frozen pointer is going to displays in
settings/devices config and select mirror screen. It is not necessary to
complete the change, just revert back to the previous configuration.

I am also having this issue on Fedora 31, Gnome 3.34.4 with a Radeon RX
590 using amdgpu on Wayland.
Video attached. Unsure how to replicate other than after locking.
(I appreciate this is an Ubuntu bug tracker, but it's the same issue.)

This also occurs in Fedora 32 and Xfce 4.14 for me.

my monitors at 100% scaling and have dual monitors. I am also running an
AMD RX Vega 56. I've been running in Wayland. I haven't seen if the
issue occurs on
I'm also having this issue on 19.04. Only happens when i'm using 2
screens. the cursor is a duplicate of the real one, ie it hanges to the
text select cursor shape when i'm highlighting text, and it changes to
the hand-pointer when hovering over a hyperlink.
the duplicate goes away if i disconnect
Since the original bug report was for nvidia on Ubuntu 19.04 and that is

I am experiencing this after upgrading to 19.10 and enabling fractional
scaling on wayland. The extra cursor appears at 125%/150% scaling and
disappears at 100% scaling.

A bit more detail to reproduce this that I think was missed out before:
It happens when the configured desktop mode/scaling is set to a
fractional value. You can have that experimental xrandr setting set, but
be configured to scaling of 100% or 200% (but see below on latter) and
you won't see this
