Sorry to take so long getting back to this. Disabling "show weather" and
"show temp" helps reduce that dead space but it must be done after each
boot or reboot because the settings don't "stick".

I think I know where is the problem, but I have no time to test /
confirm it... If there is no response from me after 1. June then please
open upstream bug when all GNOME modules will be migrated to gitlab.

weather information failed loading for some reason. Can you try
disabling showing the weather?
