Please let us know what you see exactly? Do you see the login screen at
all? Do you just get a black screen?
Please also run this command to help us gather more information:
apport-collect 1728663
And if that doesn't work then run:
journalctl > JournalErrors.txt
on the machine, and attach
GDM doesn't work on ubuntu 17.10 gnome and debian strech gnome. But ubuntu
16.04 unity and debian strech mate starts success. Sorry, i cann't give
some logs. Maybe later when i will more free time
