I can confirm this bug in Karmic
I cannot reproduce this bug in Lucid

I've tested this in 9.04
First, the .ps files don't open in evince, so I only looked at the
"print preview" version.
The print preview for whole document (File -> Print whole document) has
no images, but the text is OK. See the attached "Screenshot-Help-print-
full-doc.png"

Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue
for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04?
