The only problem is that there are no files in /var/crash, so I have
nothing else I can send. It seems that by default core dumps are turned
off in Ubuntu (I've read /etc/security/limits.conf has to be edited to
allow these). I've edited this file, so perhaps I can generate a new
dump if I can get

finding it again. :(
Attached is the trace. It didn't fail as readily as it had before--but
it did crash after selecting several messages received before I set up
IMAP access to Gmail. Hope this helps, and merry Christmas.
did you read the wiki page? that's explained there. The easier way would
be to use apport to send the crash though so it's automatically retraced

Sure, the backtrace is attached. Note that to get the debug symbols from
the repositories mentioned I had to upgrade to the Evolution version
currently in the gutsy-proposed, but the problem still exists. Note that
this does not happen to all sent items with attachments--it seems to
happen to sent
