I had recently upgraded from Ubuntu 7.10 to 8.04. There must have been
some transmission errors in the data coming off the Internet during the
update, as I ended up with a very buggy system. I restored my original
system, from a tar archive, on top of the 8.04 installation (may not
have been a go
I assumed it had to do with Firefox 3 beta 5 on Gutsy; other apps began
to crash after I'd used it a few days, and finally I was unable to
access the internet with Firefox 3 or 2, even though the connection was
there. So I upgraded to Hardy and now I'm getting these bug reports on
Serpentine, File-
