My mistake - I rebooted Ubuntu Hardy Alpha 3, and now the status bar
says "will be moved" even when selecting copy. I think that this is due
to a problem with the locale? I opened up Language Support to check that
the Australian locale was selected - and it looks as if this then
triggered the probl

English (Australia) locale.

My apologies - I'm running Feisty AMD64 with kernel 2.6.20-16-generic.
Nautilus version is 2.18.1.
I can definitely replicate this on any partition. I have two drives in
my system - my Linux drive and an NTFS drive. In either case, if I open
a Nautilus window in any folder on either of those drive
Thanks for your report, Which version of Ubuntu are you running? Are you
trying to copy that file from another partition? That works fine in my
desktop, not confirming for now.
