I am completely new to ubuntu, hence I am still unaware where the audio
controls for the sound card are to be found. The probleme might be as
simple as turning a mute off in the controls, where ever they are.

I downloaded skype. When I try to do the test call, it says that there
is a problem with audio playback. Can this problem be fixed as I would
