3.10 is one cycle old over 3.12, that's not really that outdated.
There is a reason we delay refactoring like that, they might have issues as you
noticed. Reassigning to ubuntu-gnome since they are the ones distributing that
update

To be frank, I was probably just sick to see that Ubuntu still ships
