display manager is lightdm and I use gnome-shell as window manager.

No, I haven't reported it yet.
And no, with my system in english, it still doesn't work, the shutdown
and restart buttons do anything. But now no content is added to the log
(gnome-session-Unity.log).

I tested in a guest session and I have the same issue.
I don't have that file, I have gnome-session-Unity.log. When I click the
restart or shutdown button in the dialog, this content gets added to the log:
error : string is not in UTF-8

session or with other accounts? Can you add your user .cache/upstart
/gnome-session-Ubuntu.log to the bug (try to log out first and then copy
