I am not 100% sure but I believe this has something todo with gtk's new
tooltip implemetation (if you switch beween tabs eclipse diplays
tooltips, and this fails sometimes). Do you still have these crashes?

I am getting this fairly often as well. I attached the error report

I can confirm the problem (using sun 1.6.0 jdk).
Eclipse is quite unusable on Gusty for me, it will crash within the first
minute of use.
Also note that running Eclipse 3.3 Europa downloaded from eclipse.org
