gdb-doc builds fine when downgrading texlive-latex-recommended to
2013.20131219-1 (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/texlive-
base/2013.20131219-1/+build/5369883/+files/texlive-latex-
recommended_2013.20131219-1_all.deb), seems like the issue could rather
be with the new texlive-base

Not sure that's a poppler issue, that happens in a trusty pbuilder (not
using proposed versions) or there was no recent update there
