I stumbled on this bug report because I was searching how to edit
playlists in this version of Rhythmbox. Apparently those buttons are
difficult to discover...

Yes, I now see those buttons, which I had overlooked probably thinking
they were just column headings. I did not realise things had changed so

Click on the autoplaylist. Look at the playlist toolbar - Edit Browser
Viewall Playlist buttons.
Click the Playlist button and click the Edit submenu.
This will allow you to edit the playlist.

this should be a bug upstream since it is reproducible in 14.04 Trusty
version of Rhythmbox as well.
