Yes, this patch was already available in the 3.8.1 version but not in the 3.8.0
version of Ubuntu Saucy.
Is it possible to patch the version of Ubuntu Saucy? (

We got gnome-menus 3.10.1 in trusty now, which should have this upstream
fix. Please reopen/yell if it's still a problem with that version.

On my ppa (matttbe/ppa), I just added a new version of gnome-menus which should
fix this bug. You can test it by using these commands:
sudo add-apt-reposit
