I would absolutely second the sentiment expressed in comment #11 - this
behaviour of Nautilus ultimately causes issues with the use of other
applications, and shouldn't be considered low priority.

Trusty is still affected. This is a *very* annoying bug, could it be fixed in
14.04, please?
If the fix is not available soon, some users (including myself) may be forced
