well I tested cpu monitoring with movie but average is 10 - 30%. At
random intervals video drop-outs occur with 50-100% cpu utilisation,
sudden and flat.
Turion x2 1.6 GHz TL-52, geforce 6150 integrated graphics.
could be the nvidia driver ... wouldn't surprise me ... turned off sync
to VBlank in
Sounds like your laptop isn't fast enough to do video and compiz at the
same time.
