This problem no longer seems to be reproducible on Hardy (Front sound
comes out of the front speakers, rear sound comes out of the rear
speakers and nothing else is not heard at all).
Version information:
Ubuntu hardy (development branch)
gstreamer0.10-alsa 0.10.18-3
gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg 0.10.3-6
As it works with multichannel AC3 sound but fails with a wav file it
sounds more like a bug in wavparse or libgstriff. I'll take a closer
look later...
