Yep, I'm running the Gnome3 PPA, as I much prefer Gnome-Shell to Unity.
The steps to repeat are simple, open Nautilus and switch to a folder you
view in List View. It sits there in an infinite loop filling the
xsession error log with the message above.

After a little extra experimentation, it seems that it's the list view
that is the problem. Any folder I view in icon view is fine, I normally
use list view, which is why my home folder is affected.

Update: this appears to only happen when I ask Nautilus to open my home
dir. I can open Nautilus fine if I point it at a USB stick, then if I
change dir to home, it gets stuck again.

while it may be too complex to "fix" this as a papercut, a quick win would be
just to double the width of this column and that surely can't be THAT hard?
This is an extremely annoying bug, if for instance you're browsing
through a dir filled with files with similar names, such as TV epi
I hope you guys are able to fix this as a papercut (even if you just
increase the default width of the column) everytime I open a new
nautilus window I have to resize the column, it's become second nature,
but still annoying.
It's the very definition of a papercut.
