alt+f2 and reload gpm and everything still works.

I have a simalar problem with 8.10 on a dell latitude d600 everything is
fine untill the brightness changes (wether i doit using fn+up/down or
ubuntu aotu changes because i don't have the ac power adapter plugged
in). Then no keyboard key work except ctrl+alt+backspace and the mouse
buttons don't w
