Another note, the xinput utility uses the "XIQueryDevice" (apparently
part of xinput2) function instead of "XListInputDevices" (xinput1?) if
xinput2 is available. gnome-control-center always uses

This is really annoying because it makes Ubuntu unusable when using some
of the DPI selections of my new mouse. The mouse speed setting won't
come up with my old mouse, too.

This bug fixed plus the most recent minidlna = nice setup :) [Older

I also see this behaviour when running inside a VMWare virtual machine with
open-vm-tools installed.
When the guest display is resized (which seems to occur just after the desktop
is loaded) the top and bottom panels do not scale with it and the WindowPicker
applet is no longer displayed.

Yes, that is the same issue, this report would be the solution to that
issue.
The updated patches appear to correct the hanging issue. I've updated
my PPA builds with the latest patches.

Looks like there may be some issue with the patches as I have been able
to create reproducible hangs copying large (750M) files with the patched
GVFS packages. This has been reported upstream. Will update this
report when it's been resolved.

When I noticed my system to start swapping a lot although only a few
