Yes, it still opens window with menu attached to the window.
I have just logged into gnome from unity and this bug is still there.
I don't know exactly but it seems to be due to absence of environment variable
or something like this, because it opens with global menu from the gnome-menu.

Sorry... but i can't reproduce this bug... it may be already fixed by
another fix or other commit
