Hi,
got an idea for nautilus (and any other file explorer basically)
first, i'll say that i really like the single window for multiple file
operations.
but, it still displays popups during copying for
errors/warnings/user-descisions-needed.

When i use shoutcast.com to add radiostations to rythmbox,
it always (stupidly, they wont change this) a station-count number before the
actual title, in the title.
Also, i get multiple entries from the .pls (1 per server for the
station).

I haven't found this much-needed feature either.
You assume the user knows as much about the app as the developer, a classic
mistake.
Plus, it requires much more precise mousework, which drains the brain.

instead of popups, use a statusbar.
make it's backgorund red if it's a fatal error.
fade out of status msgs should be on a configurable time limit.
it's really quite annoying to have to click those dialogs away.

I'd like an option to get rid of that "(Emtpy)" listing alltogether.
i was raised on windows, and such listings are a waste of braintime,
clicktime and screenspace to me.
please, nautilus devs, the windows 7 win-explorer tree structure UI is a lot
more time-and-human-energy saving than anything

The manual says you can add backgrounds to any section of the nautilus
interface, but i've found that trying to drag anything onto the treeview on the
left just results in the dragged gliph floating back, and not being applied.

While i like totem, i would wish it doesn't popup any message windows at
all.
Please just add a status bar top/bottom/in-screen (user-setting) and show any
error messages in that.
If it's fatal, give the bar a red background.
