I should have reported that the bug was not present in the version of
gnome-dictionary i use in Ubuntu Gutsy (fully updated as i write this). So
if gnome has been updated in Feisty (wherein i found the bug) to 2.20.0, i
guess the bug would be invalid there too. My apologies for the late reply :)

The 'Sidebar' option in the View menu remains checked even after closing
the sidebar with the mouse. Then, gnome-dictionary crashes on trying to
uncheck the Sidebar option.

part of the text is hidden followed by "...".
Along with the provision to fully slide the pane to the border like in
Nautilus, so that F9/Ctrl+T need not be pressed every tim
