I am using current Ubuntu Jaunty (as of Mar 24) with gnome-power-manager
2.24.2-2ubuntu7 and still experience this bug.

Disabling ATK obviously hides the behaviour. At least for me evolution
now runs stable.

Here, under the title Configuration, you can specify the

where port defaults to 25.
