I am experiencing the same problem with Hardy! Without the 'splash' kernel option everything is all right, suspend/resume works fine. With the kernel option 'splash' or with the option 'vga=771' the machine (hp nx8220) suspends, but is unable to resume. I only get a blank screen. The video card is

Hi Pedro. Meanwhile the problem was solved. Now everything works with evince, including rendering and the zoom factor of 400%. I have no idea what the problem was, maybe an inconsistent fontconfig state. Here is what I did: 1. Removed $HOME/.gnome2/evince/ev-metadata.xml 2. Removed directory $
