I am using Gutsy Tribe 5, with all updates installed. Even since
starting to use desktop effects, skyrocket was known to freeze
occasionally, but I noticed the crashing with other screensavers and the
resetting to the gdm login screen much more recently. To verify this, I

gstreamer-properties. If I run the gnome sound config applet and test "Sound
Capture" from there, I get the message "gconfaudiosrc ! audioconvert !
audioresample ! gconfaudiosink profile=chat: Could not open resource for
writing."
the gconftool-2 seems to have fixed things for me.

I can confirm this bug as well - after installing the updates this morning and
restarting gsd no longer works. Running it in a terminal gives a similar error
to Ryan's.
I suspect that this may have something to do with the capplets update - some
poking around online reveals that its updates have
