Yes, it was specifically in Trusty 14.04 that this issue was found, in May of 2014. Due to the Gedit and Dash issues with SCIM, I had to leave using SCIM and use Fcitx instead. For the last 2 years I've been using Fcitx. As to your second question, I would need to make SCIM the active input method

I see similar with my Lenovo x201 running Lucid. Often, if I suspend with AC adapter attached then wake up without AC adapter the Gnome- Power-Manager will show power consumption 10x too high and battery 'Energy when full' 10x too high. Consequently, the battery indicator icon will show 10% charge.

I have loaded ubuntu fiesty on my mac ppc and every morning when i start the comp, the date gets reset to 1904/01/01 and nautilus crashes too asking if the applets are to be deleted. It doesn't work until I type in "killall bonobo-activation server" and restart nautilus using Alt-F2. Any solutions
