I was still having the same problem in Intrepid, but it seems to
remember the settings after I turned off visualization, saved, closed,
restarted totem, then chose visualizations using monoscope and saved
again. So far it has worked the last few days.

totem does not remember visualization pre
It's hard to replicate this bug. It seems to happen on hibernations and
on reboots, but not all the time. It feel more like it's on a time
limit. I tried earlier today but did not get it to happen and now,
mabey 3 hours since the last try, it opens up Goom on an mp3. I ran it
in the terminal, b
Fine, although not much information to relate:
Ubuntu Hardy, Thinkpad T40
1. I select "monoscope" in the visualization options in the Totem preferences
2. I expect Totem to save that setting and remember it from now on
3. Totem remembers to use "monoscope" for a while but on a reboot or a
hibern

Same here with a Thinkpad T40. Suspend/resume works fine except for
this error message and beeping.

Yup, same thing happens to me in Edgy with Rhythmbox 0.9.6 and my iPod
4g.
