If en_US.iso88591 doesn't exist on my system, why does Nautilus sorting
change when I set LC_COLLATE to en_US.iso88591?

To facilitate Nautilus sorting files and folders per "en_US.iso88591", I
placed the following in ~/.profile:
export LC_COLLATE="en_US.iso88591"
This accomplishes my Nautilus sort preference but prevents Update
Manager from launching. Plus
