The program remained open while running it with gdb, but the output did
mention a segfault, so hopefully this is what you need. Thanks for the

I found a workaround, though. I discovered it only happens when the
current working directory is my home directory.
$ cd /

I start totem, I can see the window for a second, then it crashes.
