Does it not seem like an euphemism to assign a "low" priority to this
bug? People of all nations upgrade and then cannot switch keyboard
language without opening a terminal? I would push for a "medium"
priority.

Same problems on a Dell laptop and an HP tower after upgrading from
11.10. Have Canadian and Norwegian keyboards installed. alt+shift
changes the language on the indicator, but the layout is not effectively

I cannot reproduce this bug with Ubuntu 10.10 (not fresh install,
upgraded from 10.04). After resuming from screensaver, my cursor is
alway present. gnome-screensaver 2.30.0-1ubuntu1. This is true whether
I lock the screensaver or not.

I guess I should have figured out the source of the problem...I'm
feeling pretty stupid right now. It was just that some of the fonts had
been set to 13.33 in the preferences>appearance>font me
