I actually solved the issue by deleting some of the files in the trash
folder. I had more than 1000 files there, but now at about 500 files it
opens up instantly.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open nautilus and make sure to be in a folder with subfolders
2. Go to a subfolder and go back. Make sure that the subfolder is shown in the
path line of nautilus (where you can click the name to go back to it)

It seems to be what I see happening in Nautilus. I have not tried
brasero, but Nautilus on it's on definitely seems to be affected. If I

Oh..I am sorry. I saw that the ompi files were still symlinks, but in
fact the orte files are not any more. So the loop has been broken. I
didn't look carefully enough.

source was found, but at that time nautilus did not crash anymore when
entering /usr/bin even though the files are still there. This could be
because of upgrading to Nautilus 3.2.0.

Actually Nautilus opens the directory now without a problem, though the

I downloaded Firefox 4 and while having a shortcut for Firefox 3.6 on my panel,
I unzipped the FF4 folder and dragged the launcher to the panel to create a
shortcut. I gave it a distinct name and both this one and the original
I added a 'ls -lt' of my /bin/dir in case it can help. I don't see
anything else suspicious. I figured a timely ordering of the list was
most convenient.

I haven't touched the folder myself, so I have no idea how it got in
