especially when we note that's how it works in Windows, IIRC.
But in GNOME, that feature's idea is a bit different. By design, that

confirmed here. Could be related to bug #54879, that is, it crashes
whenever tries to open a file browse dialog.
The backtrace when clicking "save as" in a conversation is attached.

Confirming, that strange behaviour is always reproduceable with
1.5.0+1.5.1 here.
The funny thing is that when I tried with gaim 2.0.0b3, it *crashes*.

Always reproducible. It instantly crashes when you click "send file",
either from the users list or in a conversation, clicking "conversation"
=> "send file".
When started from a terminal, the error message is:

By the way, my gaim version is 1:1.5.0+1.5.1cvs20051015-1ubuntu10. I'll
try with the latest version in edgy ( 1:2.0.0+beta3-4ubuntu2 ) and
confirm this.

Hi.
Trying to reproduce this bug I noticed it happens only when you use the
dialog interface and click "send file". If you right click in the *users
list window* and pick send file, it works.
Can anybody, specially the submiter, confirm this odd behaviour? I'll
try to confirm it further and, if p
