I'm using Ctrl+Shift for twelve years since Win XP. I use this
combintaion on my win machines. So it's definetely not an option for me.
Since I use Cyrillic layout I switch layouts frequently (people using
Latin layouts are less affected). Imagine saving action shortcut

Facing the same. gnome-keyring-daemon often fails to start, if it
manages to start it asks for Login keyring password.
BTW gnome-keyring-daemon always starts from root, even if I run it from
user in terminal!

Same issue Mint 18.2. I've noticed if I wait for about 10 seconds afte
resume from suspend and enter the password the password would be asked
only once

I advise switching onto Nemo fm (fork of nautilus). It is more powerful,
faster, nicer and supports gtk theme. If anybody want to do it I will
post guide. As me I switched onto Xubuntu with Thunar, coz ubuntu full
of such bugs

entered in terminal "sudo passwd -d root" -> then rebooted and problem
