Gnomel panel version: 2.30.2.
I have just upgraded to 10.04.1 from 8.04. Now I have similar issue too.
The clock sometimes does not show up when I login after reboot. killall does
not restart the clock but re-login helps.
The syslog message attached by Shane can be found too.

It happens every time when wireshark is running in my feisty without
compiz.
I tried to repeat the bug in terminal with a nontransparent image. The
bug still happens, but the second tab becomes solid instead of the the
third.
My feisty is upgraded from dapper, does it make a difference? This bug
I found that the bug happened when wireshark(as root) is opened.
Please try if you can reproduce it.

This bug does not always happen, but it usually happens when I am using vim.

When there are two tags in the gnome-terminal and the tags are maximised, a
newly opened tag will have its background solid in color instead of transparent.
The color will keep solid until the terminal is moved.
Steps to reproduce:
