I have the same problem. Although it is not a huge problem, I recommend
and will check to see if the MythTV or mythbuntu distro has the same
problem since it is a multimedia based OS.

I also had this problem when playing video DVDs that we not made from
blank DVDs by a home user. They were DVDs that one would get from a
video store for example.
