Debian's libgtk2.0-dev now provides a dh_gtkmodules, a debhelper script.
It is used for GTK binver transition, such as 2.4.0 to 2.10.0.
It also helps all GTK related applications to maintain "gdk-pixbuf loaders" and
"input methods" modules.

This is bug of edgy, source package gtk+2.0, version 2.10.1-0ubuntu1.
Many modules of gtk+2.0 were installed in /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.4.0/.
However, edgy gtk+2.0 renamed it to 2.10.0, thus many modules will be
disabled.
Involved packages I know includes: scim-bridge, uim-gtk2.
