I applied the fix, though it was line 20 not 23 that had to be commented
out for "problem_types" to be removed.
I also uploaded the files that were already in the crash directory, but
I don't get any new ones after for the last crash.

Public bug reported:
I got a new Dell XPS 9370 and upgraded it to 17.10, the included
kernel(4.13.0-38-generic) seems to be working except for some short
temporary hangs(1-3 secs) ones in a while under wayland.
Therefore I tried upgrading the kernel to a newer version to see if it
fixed the issue

It would seem this would be a problem with Ekiga importing your old
settings, so I guess your best option would be filing a bug report
with them. I only packaged it, so I really don't know how it deals
with importing old settings.
But for me it imported my ekiga.net account settings and the one co

Now I finally got it working, the libpt package has been cleaned and all
the packages has been rebuild. It should now be possible to both have
ubuntu-desktop and ekiga 3.0.1 at the same time.
So please test if this package has interest.

It's because ubuntu-desktop has a hard dependency on
libpt-1.10.10-plugins-v4l2 and libpt-1.10.10-plugins-v4l and since
libpt replaces them ubuntu-desktop needs to go. But I'm currently
building a new version that can live along side these two libs. So in
a couple of hours there might be a version
Sorry I was a bit too quick with getting rid of the custom libx264,
but I have copied it to my ppa now, so in 30min a new build should be
ready.

Hey I have made Intrepid packages of Ekiga 3.0.1, one thing to note is
that this version does not support h263* and mpeg4 codecs as they are
only available in multiverse as libavformat-unstripped .
