Yes I believe it was fixed after poppler .12.4. I compiled .13.3 and it worked fine. Interestingly though it was fixed on my Debian box after 5.0.5 update (I guess they backported the fix) to the version of poppler in Lenny (.8.7) -- Evince fails to properly display this "type" of pdf https://

This issue is NOT fixed in the latest release of poppler available in the repositories (I just updated it today---still the same problem) But the good news is that Ben Bordwell was nice enough to make a PPA with the package that does fix this issue. https://launchpad.net/~benbordwell/+archive/ppa
