I like this as a feature. But it leads me often to mistakes, dropping in
a subfulder. A good resolution would be that if one folder opens, the
subfolder under the cursor is gray and inactive, if i release the mouse
it is dropped in the current folder.

I'm using the same versions. Quite possibly my (own and first) FTP-
Server has some Problems, doesn't work well in Nautilus and seems to
work in FileZilla. But I can't imagine a link to this Problem.

1. Open gedit from Terminal
2. Open a local file
3. Open a file out of FileZilla (Connect with a FTP-Server, right click on a
File, "Show/Edit")
