It appears that this bug occurs when images are either stretched/zoomed
or tiled (repeated). Also, it only seems to appear with large images. On
my computer images of sizes of 253x253 pixels are affected, but images
of 253x252 pixels are not.

The randomness of this bug really suggested that this was some kind of
memory corruption, so I ran Evolution through Valgrind/Memcheck. All of
the memory errors are from LD and X (and probably false alarms), and no
memory errors occurred when downloading new e-mails nor when the error
