Installed the latest updates 30 minutes ago. New kernel required reboot
and now I am back to the same problems. If I turn on desktop effects I'm
back to 2 workspaces and unable to change. Turn off desktop effects and
I can add workspaces. This is all with open source ATI drivers. Using

Eric. I fixed mine by turning off desktop effects, then the workspace
switcher works correctly. I set the number of workspaces I wanted and
any other settings (name workspaces, view on n rows etc.) then turned on
desktop effects and everything worked fine. I had to go back to the open
source ATI dr

Removal and re-installation fixed Thunderbird. The reason I enabled the
restricted drivers was because I was getting flickering and flashes of
the wallpaper showing through windows on the right side of the scr

I've just enabled the restricted drivers for my ATI card, rebooted and
now the workspace switcher behaves normally, giving the option to change
the number of workspaces. Now Thunderbird 2.0.0.6 crashes when I
normal context menu, preferences, help etc. Click on preferences I just
get option to show only current workspace and show workspaces on (n)
rows. No option to changes number of workspaces.
